Publicis Kaplan Thaler recently launched two new pool outs for Merck’s “Shingles: The Inside Story” TV campaign. The effort — which includes TV and digital — strives to educate adults who are 60+ about their personal risk for Shingles and the pain that the rash can cause.
The new work features real people: Era, an open water swimmer, and Steve, a Retired Deputy US Marshall; who have experienced Shingles and share their stories about the pain and impact of the rash. Both the “Era” and “Steve” spots communicate that the Shingles virus is likely already inside you and that anyone can get it, even people who are in great health.
“Era” and “Steve” will run nationally through October 2013.
