The OECD attempts to compare happiness across countries

As part of its 50th anniversary, the OECD launched its “Your Better Life index” which aims to gauge measures of the good life. 

Many renouned economists have stressed in the past decade the inadequacy of traditionnal economic measurements. Following this reasoning line, the OECD shows that there is more to life than GDP.
